The latest Edge sensors will help users of the device launch applications including Google Assistant, the camera, HTC’s Sense Companion and also allows users the option to turn on or off their WiFi hotspot.
The HTC Ocean is expected to come running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset along with other functionalities which include advanced HDR settings on the rear camera allowing settings such as HDR+.
Also loaded on the camera panel are the Smart Video Zoom, 3D Audio, and support for Hi-Res Recording tools.
The camera on the device is also said to be capable of supporting a “real-time HDR scene detection” which would layer HDR+ processing features on images before the picture is taken.
Other specs rumored to be coming to the HTC Ocean includes support for 3D audio and a Hi-Res Recording option loaded with four microphones. It is also expected to come with support for Multimedia BoomSound.
The HTC Ocean is according to leaks expected to feature a 5.5-inch display with a display resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixel and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.
Indications exist that the tech company will employ the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset along with Adreno 540 graphics processing unit loaded with 4GB of RAM or More likely, 6GB.
The internal storage memory options have been pegged at 64GB or 128GB running on the device which shall be powered by a 3,000mAh capacity battery. The battery is also expected to be equipped with Quick Charge 3.0 along with other security features such as the fingerprint scanner which will most likely be embedded in the home button.
The HTC Ocean will roll into the market with the latest Android 7.1 OS pre-installed although it has been rumored to be lacking the much famed and common 3.5mm headphone jack.
