The Huawei Mate 9 smartphone is wonderment on its own as it swept a large number of awards at the CES 2017. Recognized for quality, design and performance, the Huawei Mate Notebook which packs a dual-lens camera won eight awards at the event along with recognition with a CES Innovation award.
Huawei which was further recognized at the CES 2017 event by Android Authority as the Manufacturer of the year based on the company’s yearning for revolutionary devices coupled with impressive performance and design has released its Mate 9 into the US market.
With a top notch business acumen and technological breakthroughs which shot the smartphone company to the upper part in ranking for 2016, Huawei now boasts of a popular product and services in over 170 countries with the inclusion of Pakistan and some other countries.
Through its relentless approach to technology, Huawei has gained enough market share to become one of the most used smartphone devices as a third of the world’s population is reported to be in use of the device.
The wonderment from Huawei, the Mate 9 was however selected as one of the Best products showcased at the CES 2017 with major highlights and reviews centered on the device’s display, processor, the Leica dual-lens camera and its charging abilities. The integration of the Amazon Alexa into the smartphone by the tech company also earned it the Best Of Smartphones awards by Android Police.
Huawei’s Mate 9’s Amazon Alexa integration made it a standout product at the CES 2017. With the app- Amazon Alexa- standing out on its own based on the amazing nature of the voice interactive app which allows users to play around and activate functions such as turning off lights, news reading and a whole bunch of other cool settings using the voice activated command.
The Mate 9 was also named the CES 2017 Winner on the grounds of its performance, Amazon Alexa integration, and battery capabilities while Chip Chick penned the smartphone as the Top Pick of CES 2017 after the smartphone in collaboration with Alexa hit the US market.
The Mate 9 also bagged the ‘Best of CES 2017’ award presented by Talk Android which specifically applauded the powerful processor running on the device – the Krin 960 chipset- and the remarkable dual-lens camera. Tech Advisor also picked the smartphone as one of its CES 2017 Top Picks also noting the Amazon Alex integration which till date is a step forward in mobile technology.
Tech Buffalo also considered the Mate 9 for its smart-app management, the design, and top quality display plus the processor function in naming it the Best of CES 2017.
However, the Huawei Mate 9 smartphone which has been available since last November just made its remarkable entrance into the US with an added feature, the Amazon Alexa. It, however, is yet to be officially launched in the UK with rumors suggesting that the device may also be packing an added feature befoe its official launch in the UK.
The Mate 9 specs wise packs a full HD display on a 5.9-inch screen. The smartphone’s presence in the US market with considerations to its specs and the brand acceptability has been projected to rival Apple’s iPhone 7. Other features embedded in the device includes the 1,920 x 1,080-pixel resolution at 373 pixels per inch which is packed in a design dimension of 157mm x 79mm x 7.9mm, similar in size to the Apple iPhone 7. The sleek design which offers more to display on the 5.9-inch Full-HD screen offers an extended battery life. Under the Mate 9’s hood is the octa-core Kirin 960 chipset with Mali-G71 MP8 GPU i6 co-processor running at speed clocked at 2.4GHz. The smartphone is packed with 4GB of RAM to go with the Kirin 960 processor which uses the ARM’s new Cortex-A73 core design. The Kirin 960 processor also features four running A73s and four lower-power Cortex-A53 cores for less tasking functions.
The Mate 9 is packed with an internal storage size of 64GB which can be supplemented with micro-SD card slot with support for up to 265GB. The smartphone is also equipped with the UFS 2.1 storage for fast accessibility of files.
The Mate 9 which is available in the Black, Space Grey, Champagne Gold, Mocha Brown, Moonlight Silver and Ceramic White colors also features a fingerprint sensor on the back panel underneath the Leica dual-lens camera. However, analysts have critiqued the Mate 9’s display as terrible unsuitable for VR.
