Samsung looks to be tipping the scale in the mobile tech world at a point where tech enthusiast believe that mobile tech has reached its full evolution. The smartphone company which was rumored to be planning to release foldable phone looks to be making good on its unspoken promise to fans and tech lovers as indications exist that the company is in the works on the new concept.
Following the Galaxy Note 7 blow back which led to the recall of all the device, or at least 96 percent of it in circulation leaving the company reeling in billions accrued in debt, the world is focused on the next flagship from the device and asides the Samsung Galaxy S8 which is expected in the second quarter of the year, the smartphone company may be looking at wowing the tech world with the first foldable smartphone.
Recall that Samsung had filed for a patent on the foldable smartphone, an idea which LG Tech has also been rumored to be working on.
The new concept which has been displayed in several leaks online as a prototype to the foldable dream invention from Samsung was flaunted by the company earlier in the month which points more to the fact that it may be nearing perfection on the redefined face of smartphones.
Reports, however, indicate that Samsung may have the device ready for the tech market before the year runs out. The new report from a Taiwanese supplier indicates that the tech company has launched a full blown effort into the production of the wonder. However, the source noted that the company is as of now planning a small production of the smartphone probably to test the market for acceptance of the premium grade design.
The source further noted that the foldable display smartphone might hit the market as soon as in the fourth quarter of 2017 however, mass production of the premium grade device won’t be until 2018 as Samsung is well focused on the Galaxy S8 device.
Reports also indicate that the South Korean tech company had initially scheduled production process to start around the third quarter of the year but ran into some design troubles especially with the plastic covers proposed for the first foldable display smartphone.
The foldable display device, however, promises a broad range of possibilities in the mobile tech world as it has been rumored that the device which will have an original 5.7-inch screen can be further unwrapped or expanded to make a tablet at will and also folded into its original compact size as the need demands. Schematics of how possible the design and build will have however been a major source of debate among tech analysts.
