Android OS 7.0 Nougat
Much has been said concerning the tech improvements which came along with the latest Android OS 7.0 Nougat, but attention has fast shifted away from the OS launched last year to what is expected to be the latest Android OS in the market.
Following Google’s revelation that the latest and much-expected OS will be named Android ‘O’ with many projecting that the ‘O’ is Oreo, there has been much interest in what’s new about the OS and latest reports have just indicated that Google is planning on bringing self-disappearing notification feature on the expected OS.
Recall that Google had earlier released the Developer version of the Android ‘O’ Preview and had hinted on some interesting new features which will come along with the next Android OS.
The self-dismissing notification features are however one of the newest tech improvements added on as the feature allows notifications to disappear from users’ screen after a set amount of time thereby saving you the stress of unlocking and swiping the notification off.
Most of the design and redesign on the Android ‘O’ OS, however, border on the notification area amongst other developments brought with the OS which is yet to be made available for public consumption. The Notification timeout integration will allow the notifications disappear if not interacted with by the user under a set amount of time. On the latest OS, Google is also said to be testing some major improvements which involve a new System UI Tuner menu that can allow users change the design and workings of the default lock screen shortcut to an application or activity as deemed fit by the user.
The much expected Android ‘O’ OS is expected to roll out later in the year and be fitted onto the next range of Pixel smartphones which are expected to also drop later this year or early in 2018.
