- Apple iPhone 8: Rumor Roundup
Apple looks to b going in for the kill in 2017 as the smartphone manufacturer has been rumored to be planning a release of a special smartphone to mark its 10th year anniversary in the market. The special smartphone version will however not taper with the original plans for the release of the iPhone 8 later in the year which has been speculated to be hitting the market later in the last quarter of the year, most likely in September.
The plans according to rumors to release the special smartphone to mark its special anniversary had been in the news for quite some time, and it looks like the smartphone company may be bringing it to life soon. The special release which has been speculated to be the iPhone X although Apple might decide to change the name at the last minute will come into the market packing several improvements over the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus which were released a few months ago.
Away from the special release, a report as published by DigiTimes indicated that the premium smartphone manufacturer might be looking to incorporate the iris scanner into the much expected iPhone 8.
The Iris scanner as featured on the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL from Microsoft is not a low-level tech incorporation into smartphones and is expected to give the iPhone 8 a huge boost in the tech market.
The Iris scanner was also featured in the Galaxy Note 7 which turned out to be the worst production from the Smartphone company following the fire incident reported which led to the total recall of the smartphone and a loss running in billions to the South Korean OEM.
The Iris scanner as expected on the Apple iPhone 8 will give the next flagship device from Apple the desired edge making it a worthwhile competition for the Galaxy S8 from Samsung which was expected earlier to hit the market n February but has reportedly been pushed back to April in order to ensure perfection and to minimize the re-occurrence of the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco.
There are however rumors that Apple may not be releasing two devices, the Apple X and Apple 8 as it might fuse both device or concepts into one for later this year. Reports also indicate that the smartphone manufacturer as delved into an early production which is characteristically unlike the smartphone company taking recent years into consideration.
The reports further indicated that iPhone component makers would begin delivery of the several components during the first quarter of the year before the scheduled release.
Indications also exist that Apple will begin testing of trial chips and other components sooner than in the previous years, a move which lends credibility to the possibility that it might be planning to release two smartphones into the market.
However, confirmation from KGI Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo indicates that Apple is planning on releasing two iPhone 7S models into the market along with the iPhone 8 which will sport and OLED display. The analyst further hinted that the devices would as usual of Apple make its way into the market in the first month of the last quarter of the year, September.
He maintained that the Taiwan-based supplier of the tech company would begin production and later shipping of the OLED panels while Samsung Display has been contracted for the screens.
The iPhone 8 according to reports will hit the market sporting the much expected wireless charging.
