Galaxy S8 Details Samsung has kept in the Dark Surfaces
The tech giant, Samsung has tried its possible best to keep the intimate details of its much-expected device, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus private even as the official launch date inches nearer.
The South Korean tech company only did much to reveal some of the details of the device as it revealed that the much-expected flagship device would come into the market sporting the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset and another variant of the device will sport the latest Exynos 8895 processor from the tech company.
Along with the latest processors, the tech company has hinted that the Samsung Galaxy S8 device will come into the market sporting the latest and more improved AI Assistant named Bixby.
Other details of the device including the possible screen technology and camera were revealed in unconfirmed leaks which suggest that the device will pack a 3.7MP camera on the front panel which will serve for facial recognition along with the fingerprint sensor expected to come on the device.
Other details of the device which were withheld by the tech company have however surfaced weeks to the official unveiling of the device as some clearer high-resolution shots of the device surfaced online a couple of days ago.
The official renders of the Galaxy S8 Plus which surfaced online along with specs sheet for the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus variant, however, reveals that the device will come into the market sporting a 6.2 inch screen for the Galaxy S8 Plus along with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio loaded on the WQHD screen with a resolution of 2960×1440.
The device is also expected to come packing the same front and rear camera for the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus. On the front panel, the device comes packing 8MP of selfie camera and on the rear panel comes a 12MP sensor. The front camera comes equipped with autofocus technology while the rear camera sports an aperture of f/1.7 along with other integrations including the Phase detection technology, laser autofocus and expectedly, it should feature the optical Image Stabilization technology.
The fingerprint sensor loaded on the device according to Roland is expected to serve other functions including the ability to interact with apps on the device according to Quandt.
Under the hood of the device, the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset or the Exynos 8895 processor is expected to be running as there have been speculations that the tech company will ship the Exynos 8895 powered device to Europe while the US market will get the Snapdragon 835 powered variant.
In the same vein, the tech company is projected to release the device with 4GB RAM along with 64GB of internal storage size although there have been rumors of a possible 6GB RAM variant o the device for China.
The Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus is also expected to pack some other features including IP68 water and dust resistance feature along with support for microSD card up to 256GB for onboard storage memory expansion.
Samsung will be keeping the 3.5mm headphone jack port on the device against speculations that it might remove the feature from the device following in Apple’s line.
Samsung is also rumored to be bringing something new named Uh-Oh protection which will serve as some sort of guard for the device. The Uh-Oh protection allows users of the device a one-time replacement of the device’s display for free.
On the possible pricing of the device, Quandt revealed that the European variant of the device which will be powered by the Exynos 8895 chipset would come into the market at an approximate price of $864 for the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus would be priced at an approximate price of $971.
