Google’s Pixel Wins a Place in the Sun
Last month, Google’s Pixel smartphone made its first ever debut and had significantly gathered some high commendations from reviewers. Now, many people can boldly say that Google Pixel is the best Android smartphone one can buy.
According to an online survey, Samsung’s Galaxy Note7, which was the other leading contender – was automatically disqualified due to a major ad-lib combustion, referring to which was called back for safety reasons.
Consumers are mostly impressed with its Pixel’s display; it high pixel count made dark-skinned people appear deeper in photos – making their colors more vibrant and everything sharper. It was even said that the AMOLED display makes photos look better, even ones taken on an iPhone!
Keep Your Pixels Dry
With a and lots of innovative software and services – it’s no doubt that Pixel offers the look and competency of an iPhone. This then changes the answer to the question that is most frequently asked by consumers: What phone should one get? Of course, you should get a Pixel; experts have suggested.
After the Pixel launch, everyone was joking about the fact that ‘’Google made an iPhone!’’. Well, that’s as true as it sounds. An iPhone running Android is exactly what most people have been waiting for!
According to recent online review, Pixel has significantly stood out compared to other giants in the market. Whether most people agree or not, but Pixel is Google’s first smartphone that can go head-to-head with Apple’s iPhone and Samsung’s Galaxy flagship.
Although its lack of water resistance is a setback – Pixel has been spotted to be on equal footing with both the Apple and Samsung heavyweights – at least in most of the areas that matter. All the same, for as many Android fans that pick up the Pixel, ought to remain pleased – so long as they keep it dry.
Smooth Performance
Google with its first brandmark smartphone, has hit a home run with Pixel. In order words, Google stepped up to bat, called its shot and knocked it far off from the park.
And because one doesn’t have to be an Android enthusiast to appreciate what Google has accomplished with the Pixel that automatically means ‘’goodbye’’ to Google’s earlier Nexus smartphone. Owning a phone that’s beautiful, takes awesome photos, and has smooth performance, is the only thing you’ll have to be enthusiastic about. Perhaps, you are, then the Pixels for you!
The Pixel’s performance was won kudos from Jason Cross, writing for PC World. Due to all sorts of complaints by Android fans – about phones, especially Samsung’s, that lead benchmark charts, but still somehow seem to falter, chop, and sputter whenever they are being used!
Unfortunately for Samsung, The Pixel XL does none of that. The phone is smooth, fast, and most of all, responsive at every turn. This has led many people to believe that indeed, ‘’this may be the smoothest and most responsive Android phone I’ve ever produced.’’
Rain on Pixel’s Parade
A recent survey showed most reviewers were unimpressed by Google’s smartphone offering. Some reviewers have suggested the Pixel is, relatively speaking, mediocre, due to the absence of a major competing Android device –which apparently works out well for Google.
Other reviewers felt the Pixel is slower than Apple’s iPhone 7 and the Galaxy S7, Samsung’s smaller flagship phone and many others. In fact, it was also noted that Photos taken with Pixel’s camera don’t look as good as the ones with iPhone. Some still think it was dumb for Google’s built-in artificially intelligent virtual assistant to be called Assistant.
What’s more –pricing may be an issue with the Pixel models. For most consumers, you know the Pixel is priced at US$650, and the larger Pixel XL is selling for $770. And because the build quality isn’t as good as other flagship phones in the market, one might agree, it is quite expensive for what they are getting. At that price point, it is safe to say; it’s going to be a bit tough for Google to create differentiation for their hardware.
Google’s Hardware Future
Since the Pixel is the first device to carry Google Assistant – it’ll serve as a differentiator in an Android market where it’s very difficult to make any differentiation on the hardware. Indeed, Google Assistant may not be the only Pixel’s top asset, but also a key ingredient of Google’s hardware future.
The Pixel’s greatest strength is not anything in the hardware world. It’s Google Assistant, which is only available on Pixel. It’s the future of not only Pixel but of the Google hardware family as a whole. Now, the belief holds, ‘’Google is looking to make contrive intelligence the next platform after mobile and social.’’
Gunning for Apple
There’s a simple reason, reviewers taking the measure of Pixel, never failed to mention the iPhone. They’re going after iPhone customers and other high-end phone buyers!
Even though may prove difficult for Pixel to make headway in a targeted market – in developed markets, we notice a lot of saturation. Even if you have all the advantages that Google has – it’s a pretty late time
A recent review showed that iPhone users were Pixel’s target market, but the product also will benefit from the recall of the Samsung Note7. Eand wider carrier distribution – the Pixel will be the major alternative to the Note7.
