Just some days go, Huawei decided to tease its fans with the release of the Android 7.0 Nougat OS to Honor eight smartphone with a promise to complete roll out to all regions in a short period. The surprise package, however, did not end at the OS roll out as the smartphone company along with the OS update released an update to the EMUI 4.x which had received a wide range of criticism from fans from all over. Huawei thought it nice to bring the EMUI 5.0 at this time and along with the OS which could not have been a better timing as the EMUI 5.0 packs a whole array of features and enhancements over the previous release and at the same time boasts of fluidity and enhanced performance with battery management pros.
A new report has however indicated that the company is not done with its surprises as it is set to roll the Honor 8 Pro into US market soon. However, indications exist that Huawei may be planning to rebrand the recently leaked Honor V9 which is branded for China as the Honor 8 Pro for the US market.
The Honor 8 Pro or Honor V9 as the case may be has been touted to be bringing with it top of the line specs similar to what has been featured in the likes of ZTE with the Axon 7.
Previous leaks of the Honor V9 as spotted on benchmarking website, TENAA suggests that the smartphone will come packing a 5.7-inch screen which boasts an impressive QHD display and is expected to run on the Kirin 960 processor. According to reports, the Honor V9 will pack on it 4GB or 6GB of RAM which indicates that it might be available in variants although there is no official confirmation from the smartphone manufacturer.
Other information gathered according to benchmarking website indicate that the smartphone which will most likely roll out with the Android 7.0 Nougat OS will spot the latest EMUI 5.0 and along with that be powered by a 3,900mAh battery.
On the camera front, the Honor V9 or the US expected Honor 8 Pro would pack dual-camera on the rear panel. It is expected that the device will house a 12MP snapper and another 2MP camera for complementary functionality while on the front panel, it will pack an 8MP front facing the camera. On the onboard storage size, the smartphone is expected to come with 64GB or 128GB storage memory size with support for microSD card.
Other features expected on the device include the fingerprint scanner for added security. The device pricing is yet to be officially released by the manufacturers, but analysts have speculated that the device will soon be released and available in the $394 range.
The US market is however prepared to get a great specs jump from the smartphone company which has been rumored to be working on its very own Artificial Intelligence Assistant.
