LG K8 (2017) Hits US Market
The United States Cellular has just received one of the cheapest smartphones on the face of the earth as the LG K8 (2017) makes its way into the US market.
The Sout Korean company launched the device in the US earlier in January but was only released to T-Mobile and MetroPCS.
The device which has been named LG Aristo has made its way to US Cellular and for customers who have a preference for other carriers over the originally released device carrier, you can now pick one of the cheapest smartphones up for as low as $50 on prepay and as much as $100 for the online discount price.
Specs-wise, the LG K8 (2017) offers value for a low price as the device comes into the market with the latest Android OS 7.0 Nougat along with other features which include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor.
The quad-core process comes at a speed of 1.45GHz is expected to pack a 1.5GB of RAM under the hood and an onboard storage size of 16GB which can be further expanded to up to 32GigaByte using the microSD card.
The LG K8 (2017) has support for Dual-SIM and other connectivity options loaded on includes the 4G LTE support.
For display, the device packs a 5-inch HD screen with HD resolutions. On the battery note, the device is powered by a 2,500mAh battery which has been touted to last for up to two days on average use.
On the camera front, the LG K8 (2017) comes packing an impressive 13MP camera on the rear end which is equipped with LED flash for lighting in low-light condition and on the front panel, the device packs a 5MP camera for selfies and video calls.
Other options loaded on the device includes the USB Type-C port along with the microUSB 2.0 (OTG) port, FM Radio, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity options.
The device, however, comes packing a surprising security feature, a fingerprint sensor on the back panel of the device.
