Microsoft Foldable Surface Phone
Microsoft is set to catapult itself back into the tech market, and this looks like it will cause rippling effect globally as the tech company looks to be working on one of the next groundbreaking technological advancements.
The tech company which has in the past hinted at the Surface phone which is expected to be the next big thing from the tech company and probably the best thing to happen to Windows Phones has hinted towards the actual production of the unconfirmed rumored device.
According to a new patent which was filed by the tech company in 2015 but only got the attention of the lovers days ago, the tech company looks to be exploring the possibility of foldable smartphones.
Recall that LG and Samsung have been rumored to be working on a similar foldable smartphone technology especially as Samsung’s patent was brought to the US some weeks ago.
Microsoft’s patent which has been made public hints at the possibility that we might be getting a Surface Phone that could literally play several roles including conversion into a Laptop at will and a smartphone at other times, depending on demand.
However, as against what Samsung and LG might be cooking up, the display of the Surface Phone is not the culprit when it comes to the foldable portion of the device. Instead, a more complex approach is employed in the sense that the technology relies solely on a multi-layered screen. The screen comes with two curved displays which are placed under a standard layer.
According to Microsoft, the curved edges of the screen will play an important role in eliminating the gap usually created by support structures.
