Samsung made a massive statement in the tech world when it announced the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus variant of the device following the diverse buzz surrounding the device ahead of its official unveiling.
The South Korean tech company took the bull by the horn and went ahead to move the official announcement of the mobile phones away from February as earlier rumored at the Mobile World Congress 2017 to a private event which it held some days back in New York.
The tech company, however, looks to be enjoying the dividends of its buzz created ahead of the official announcement of the latest flagship device as latest report indicate that the Galaxy |S8 device trumped the sales record recorded for the Galaxy S7.
The sales record from South Korea indicated that the newly announced device came into stock with over six times more pre-orders than the Galaxy |S7. The record shows that the pre-orders spiked to as much as 550,000 units in two days after the device was made available for first sales.
Recall that the tech company made the phones available for pre-order on April 7 and in two days, it successfully there the record of the Galaxy |S7 pre-order sales which stood at 400,000 in the top position.
The sales record, however, proves that the device holds the potential to beat the highest sales record of a South Korean tech company with a dashing 49 million units per year.
