OnePlus 3T receives Double update of Android 7.1.1 and Oxygen 4.1.0
The OnePlus 3T looks to be enjoying the perks of the Android world more as the tech company wich came int limelight with the flagship device three years ago has rolled out updates following the leak of the potential successor to the device.
Recall that it was earlier reported that the tech company which spent about $30,000 on social media PR is planning on releasing a new smartphone sequel to the OnePlus three although there have been debates on the possible naming of the device as many tech analysts believe it will hit the market bearing the OnePlus 5.
However, the OnePlus 4 or OnePlus five as the company deems fit is expected to pack major improvements over the OnePlus three which was released some years ago.
In preparation for the release of the OnePlus three successor, the tech company rolled out major updates for the OnePlus 3T as earlier in the month, ZTE Axon 7 joined the list of smartphones to receive the update.
The OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T which are major rivals to the ZTE Axon 7 also got their updates in quick succession, and the update comes bearing some bug fixes as users are advised to be on the lookout for the OxygenOS 4.1.0.
The Oxygen OS 4.1.0 brings the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus3T up to par with the Android 7.1.1 OS and comes along with improvements which include an update to the latest Android OS release, along with an updated Google security patch brought in as of 1st March 2017.
The Oxygen OS 4.1.0 also brings an added expanded screenshots along with improved picture especially of moving objects using the blur reduction, improved video stability when recording and an improved WiFi connectivity.
Other upgrades that shipped in with the update includes the improved Bluetooth connectivity and some overall general bug fixes.
However, in case the update is yet to reach your smartphone, do not panic or freak out as the software update has been revealed to be pushed in batches.
OnePlus noted that the broader release of the update roll out would come over the next few days and should go widely in circulation before the month runs out.
It is important to note that you should keep checking and once you get your update, keep your phone plugged into a power source while you complete the update process.
