OnePlus seems to have ditched the mid-range smartphone platform as it has emulated Microsoft and Samsung to churn out the ceramic-bodied glory which it is rumored to be skipping the OnePlus 4 model for.
The smartphone company which has been rumored to be packing impressive specs into its all-in-one device following news that might skip the OnePlus 4 is going for glory on the OnePlu 5 which has been rumored to be making its way into the market in 2017.
The reason for OnePlus’ decision to skip the OnePlus 4 has however been a hot topic for debate as many have attributed it to the lack of deign or need to follow up on the predecessors. However, the Asian manufacturer is said to be skipping the OnePlus 4 because it does not consider the number lucky enough for its brand. Therefore, the manufacturer of the smartphone is deleting 4 from its dictionary as it skips to 5 for the OnePlus series.
The main rumor surrounding the device, however, revolves mainly around the expected ceramic body which will according to reports be made by the manufacturers of the Xiaomi Mi Mix smartphone which made its way into the market in 2016. The manufacturer of the Xiaomi Mi Mix exterior will follow in line with the body on the OnePlus X which was launched as a limited edition model.
PhoneRadar’s Sources however revealed that the OnePlus 5 is expected to hit the market latest in the second quarter of the New Year, 2017. The months put on target for the release, however, stands between April and June 2017.
Specs expected to be featured on the smartphone asides the ceramic build include the 5.5-inch screen with an AMOLED display coupled with a Snapdragon 835 processor made by Qualcomm fitted with 6GB of RAM
The OnePlus following its projected release in the second quarter of the year is expected to take the market by surprise in line with its predecessors especially the OnePlus 3 which had a pretty good run in 2016.
Recall that the company following the smooth run of the OnePlus 3 3decided to release a modified version which served as a variant of the smartphone six months after the official release of the OnePlus 3, the OnePlus 3T also had a smooth run from out of nowhere as it added on impressive features for the performance upgrade.
The OnePlus 3T spotted an upgraded chip and ran on the Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 821 chipset along with a larger battery to power the added feature.
