Samsung 4 Curved Edges
South Korean OEM, Samsung, has been trying to bring the curved edge device to market for a while now although it has only been able to make the Galaxy S6 Edge, the Galaxy S7 Edge and to crown it up, the tech company decided to make both of its latest Galaxy products, the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus come into market with curved edges.
The tech company was also reported to have said subsequent devices will be coming with the standard curved display as it is about to become a benchmark feature on its devices. However, the tech company has only been able to make devices with two curved edges, and a new report which surfaced online indicates that the tech company is not at all satisfied with how far it has come as it is planning on rolling out smartphones with all four edges curved.
The report according to ETNews reveals that Samsung and LG which has both been rumored to be working on a foldable smartphone are both looking for ways to bring the front-top and bottom bezel to fit into the curved display plan.
According to the report, both tech companies are looking for ways to roll out devices which will come without bezels, one which will truly be an advancement regarding display and design.
There are however some preliminary problems attached to the bezel-less smartphone plan as Samsung had attempted it in the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Pus Although the device comes sporting the thinnest bezels from the tech company virtually till date.
For a curved display on all four sides, the corners of the device will be rendered virtually useless as the lamination process will result in the production of a device whose corners will not register tough sensitivity. But overall, the concept of having an all four edges curved display sounds daring, and the tech world will truly be amazed at the breakthrough.
