Samsung A5 and A7
Samsung’s kick starter for the new year came with the announcement of the Galaxy A3 and A5 smartphones which is expecte tonmake headlines ahead of the release of the much-expected Galaxy S8. The announcement made by Samsung, however, included a disappointing caveat as it appears the smartphones might not make their way into the US market soon.
According to reports, Samsung may be planning a possible launch of the device into several Asian markets by the end of the first month of the year, with this news, it appears the Unites States lovers of the smartphones which boast of waterproof feature amongst others have to employ other means to ownership of the device.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 and A7 will also not make an early entrance into Europe although its release date for European countries has been set to be later in February as against the availability of the device in Russia through several retail outlets.
The powerful Samsung smartphones, however, pack impressive specs asides its waterproof feature which make it all the more desirable. The Galaxy A5 which is probably released to whet the appetite of customers ahead of the Galaxy S8 release packs a 5.2-inch full-HD display. The smartphone which offers besides its waterproof feature dust-repelling exterior packs on it the Exynos 7880 processor which is coupled with 3GB of RAM that places it above the Galaxy A3 which packs the Exynos 7870 processor combined with 2 GB of RAM. The Galaxy A5 also packs a fingerprint sensor along with an internal storage space of 256 GB with provision for memory expansion through support for microSD card. The smartphone is equipped with a primary camera of 16MP on a 1.9GHz octa-core speed processor running on the Android 6.0 OS and with a 3000mAh battery to go.
The Samsung A7 like the A5 counterpart sports the 5.7-inch screen and same processor as the A5 running on 3 GB of RAM. The smartphones are also equipped with latest Android OS 6 marshmallow featured on the Galaxy A3. The battery is a 3600mAh capacity running on 1.9GHz octa-core processor speed.
For pricing, the Galaxy A5 is expected to cost as much as $471 and A7 for about $555. The devices ahead of release is available for pre-order in the United Kingdom.
