Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro: What We
Samsung looks to be busying itself with another device pending the release of the much expected Samsung Galaxy S8. However as one might think, Samsung isn’t dialing back on the specs of its C5 Pro and C7 Pro which is projected to hit the market soon.
Following the epic failure of the Samsung Note 7, the smartphone company has tried it best to promise fans a better year for 2017 in which it won’t have to get burnt financially and regarding relevance.

The follow-up devices for the Galaxy C5 and C7 series has been making rounds in the media with news of possible leaks and renders surfacing online at intervals ahead of the official unveiling. Samsung is expected to roll out the C5 Pro and C7 Pro to back its C9 which has already been released into the Chinese market.
Both devices according to speculations is expected to sport a super thin body with stylish design and a rather refreshed look which builds on its predecessor’s design print.
The Galaxy C5 Pro
The follow-up version to the Galaxy C5 made its way into the online community some months ago as the first leak surfaced on Zauba, an import tracking website. Following the first leak, speculations in the media grew as to what is to be expected of the follow-up device by Samsung. According to Zauba, the model number of the phone was SM-C5000 which proved to the online community that Samsung is indeed planning to roll out a new device. The specs listing however hinted on what to expect from the new device as Weibo showed that the device would be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. However, speculations revealed that Samsung might be planning to fit the device with a higher RAM.
The C5 Pro following the specification leak surfaced online some weeks after giving tech lovers a firsthand look of what is to be expected regarding design, possible features, and specifications.
The C5 Pro leak which was released by a Twitter user, @mmddj_china, however, indicated that the device would indeed feature a trimmed and sleek design. The leak which revealed the C7 Pro, C5 Pro and the already released C9 Pro suggested that the C5 Pro will most likely sport a 16MP front facing snapper which is indeed a good news for selfie lovers. Although the possibility of Samsung fitting the device with a 16MP front camera has been debated, it is possible as the smartphone company did the same on the C9 which sports a 16MP camera both on the front and at the back.
The Galaxy C7 Pro
This device has been kept more under the wraps as the first major online appearance it made was in the leak released by a Twitter user, @mmddj_china. The smartphone is, however, boasting of impressive features based on the benchmark results. The Samsung C7 Pro is according to the benchmark result expected to feature 4GB of RAM coupled with a 5.7-inch Full HD display. The smartphone was also recorded to have scored a cool 1000 points on the single core test and a whopping 5,679 points on the multi-score test. The Samsung C7Pro is also expected to run on the Android 6.0.1 OS which will be pre-installed and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor.
Pricing:
The pricing of the smartphones has allegedly surfaced online in a leak as tech enthusiasts have pegged the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro to sell or around at 2,399 Yuan or $350 while the Galaxy C7 Pro is rumored to be pegged at 2,799 Yuan or $405. The prices are however unconfirmed as official word has not been issued regarding it from Samsung. Weibo further hinted that the smartphones might not be available for all as considering the release circumstances of its predecessors, the C5 and C7, there are indications that Samsung might follow up in line with the earlier arrangement.
Recall that Samsung released the C5 and C7 into the Chinese market and restricted it to China for the most part which indicates that the C5 and C7 will tow in line. The devices are expected to come in variants of colors including pink, Blue and Gold.
The Specs Sheet:
The upcoming Galaxy C5devices are rumored to have a 5.2-inch 1080p display which will run on the Snapdragon 626 chipset from Qualcomm. It is further rumored that the device will pack 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage memory with a 3,000mAh battery.
The C5 Pro is expected to feature a slim design with a length of 145.7 mm and 71.4 mm in width. The thickness is however pegged at 6.95 mm.
The Galaxy C7 Pro will sport a wider screen with its 5.7-inch AMOLED display which will be Full HD. It will run on the same chipset as the Galaxy C5 Pro which is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 chip and pack 4GB of RAM. The C7 Pro will feature an internal storage memory of 64GB as in the C5 with both being expandable to up to full capacity using microSD card.
Dimension wise, the Galaxy C7 Pro measures 156.5 mm in length, 77.2 mm in width and 7.0 mm in thickness and weigh 170 grams with a 3,300mAh battery crammed under the hood.
For the camera, both the C5 Pro and the C7 Pro are expected to come equipped with 16MP front and rear snapper. Debates, however, exist on the possible integration on the fingerprint scanner into either or both devices.
