The latest report comes following earlier reports which surfaced online indicating that a refurbished version of the Galaxy Note 7 was spotted in Vietnam and South Korea, the home of the tech company. However, the refurbished version of the Galaxy Note 7 which was spotted months ago was nothing like the flaming variant which was recalled by the tech company as it came with a 3,200 mAh battery as against the original 3,500 mAh battery loaded in the widely released version that caused several fire incidents.
Samsung according to latest spottings on benchmarking website, Geekbench, is set to launch the official refurbished variant of the device as information from the benchmarking website revealed that there were three variants of the Galaxy Note 7R spotted on certification website.
The device, in its refurbished form, will come into the market sporting the Exynos 8890 SoC along with an octa-core processor, and a 4GB of RAM added on. The Galaxy Note 7R, however, comes with the same specs as in the recalled variant and was according to the benchmarking website scored a total of 1939 in the single-core test and a total of 6093 in the multi-core test.
The second variant of the Galaxy Note 7R which appeared on the certification website, however, comes bearing Samsung’s Exynos 8895 chipset under the hood which means the smartphone company is bringing its latest chipset on the device and probably, there will be multiple options for fans to choose from for the Galaxy Note 7R.
The smartphone as in the earlier refurbished variant spotted in the Vietnamese market some months ago will be coming with 3,200 mAh battery as against the 3,500 mAh battery in the recalled devices, and along with this, it will run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
Reports indicate that the device should arrive in markets next month although the choice of Samsung’s CPU on the devices suggests that the US and other major markets may not be getting the device.
The Galaxy Note 7R will, all the same, come into the market with premium specs to include a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display boasting of a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 QHD resolution and an onboard storage memory of 64GB. As in the latest Galaxy Series, the fingerprint sensor is embedded inside the home button and boasts of a primary camera sensor of 5MP and a secondary camera of 12MP.
The Note 7R will be available in color variants which include Coral Blue, Silver, White and Black.
