The much expected Samsung Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus have registered themselves before the official release of the most anticipated smartphone in the tech market as more leaks and rumors surrounding the device surface online weekly.
The device which was spotted in the premium Gold variant some days ago on benchmarking website has been popular in the tech world especially as it has also been rumored to be coming to market with Samsungs very own Artificial Intelligence Assistant named Bixby.
Bixby which has been described as a very powerful AI Assistant has been tipped to blow Apple’s own Siri out of the water and establish itself as a major competitor to the Alexa Artificial Intelligence Assistant.
However, fresh leaks of the much expected device which was earlier expected to hit the market at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona before rumors of its shift to April at a private event which is expected to hold in New York surfaced holds that the device will be coming in more color variants than the premium gold color.
The details of the expected hardware specs of the device also made it5s way online confirming some of the earlier speculations about the device. The latest image leak of the device, however, showed the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus in the shows off a very thin bezel at the top portion and also at the bottom end of the smartphone. The edges displayed in recent leaks also suggest that the device will come with curved edges as found in the Galaxy S7 Edge and the much controversial Galaxy Note 7.
The recent image leak also confirmed that the physical home button which has been suggested to house the fingerprint scanner would be lacking in the Galaxy S8 while the upper bezel will be a sure home for the much-expected iris scanner.
The leaks, however, did not give a view of the rear end of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus variant although based on the absence of the Home button, Samsung may most likely shift the fingerprint scanner to the rear end of the device.
Along with this, it is expected that the Galaxy S8 will come with a dedicated button for the Ai based voice assistant, Bixby. The button has been speculated to either be integrated with the volume rocker and power rocker or on the other side of the device.
Under the hood, the 5.8-inch display Galaxy S8 is expected to come running on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, the Snapdragon 835 SoC along with 4GB of RAM. The QHD AMOLED display device will also have a 64GB on-board storage memory which can be further expanded using a microSD card. O the camera front, the device is expected to come packing 12MP of a rear facing lens and an 8MegaPixel camera on the front panel for a selfie and video calls.
As speculated, the device is expected to come running with the Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box OS. Fresh leaks, however, suggest that the device will come into the market featuring fast charging technology with faster capabilities compared to pre-existing Samsung devices. The wireless charger expected to come with the device will be a Qi-based charger with model number EP-PG950.
