- Samsung S8: Galaxy Note 7 Fear Pushes Samsung To Sony For Help
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is one of the biggest smartphones expected to hit the tech market in 2017, and there have been several rumors surrounding the smartphone, its specs, release date and pricing. The South Korean OEM has, however, kept the lid tightly on wat to expect although leaks have done a little justice in hinting what Samsung has in store for fans.
The Galaxy S8 which is believed to be Samsung’s shot a redemption after the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco has created a whole range of diverse opinions after the smartphone manufacturer revealed that the irregularly sized batteries caused the fire incident recorded in the Galaxy Note 7. With the fear of repeat in mind, several rumors have surrounded the possible battery which will be loaded on the Galaxy S8. Earlier rumors indicated that the device might come packing a 3250 mAh battery on the Galaxy S8 and a 3750 mAh battery on the Galaxy S8 Plus, however, contrary to earlier rumors, latest leaks suggest that the Galaxy S8 might not be exceeding the 3,000 mAh battery peg while the S8 Plus might come sporting the 3,500 mAh battery capacity.
However, nothing is confirmed for now as the tech company is expected to make a major announcement regarding the much expected Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus at the Mobile World Congress 2017.
Recall that Samsung was earlier projected to launch the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus at the Mobile World Congress holding in February in Barcelona, but the tech company had reportedly shifted back on the date to allow for the perfection of specs and other necessary production parameters on the flagship device.
Indications, however, exist that although Samsung may not be unveiling the device at the MWC 2017, the tech company will be doing justice to what should be expected from the smartphone which according to rumors will be packing on it Samsung’s very own Artificial Intelligence Assistant named Bixby.
Samsung at the event will be sharing with its fans and tech lovers details of the Galaxy S8 including the possible release date of the device.
Speculations has however indicated that the tech company which has been accused of hoarding the latest Snapdragon 835 chipset by Qualcomm from other OEMs until the release of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus is hoping to distract the public from the big announcement of the LG G6 device which is the first smartphone boasting of a, 18:9 aspect ratio.
Samsung’s big news has also been speculated to be aimed at distracting the audience from other smartphone brands including Huawei which may be looking at unveiling the Honor V9 and dozens of other devices.
Nokia is anticipated to make a major comeback into the market after the success recorded by the Nokia 6 with a re-branded version of the Nokia 3310 which will be Android powered.
On the battery production front for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, the South Korean tech company had earlier stated that it will be contracting the production solely to the Samsung SDI supplier but based on the sheer volume of the product and the deadline along with fears of the Galaxy Note 7 repeat, the smartphone company has been rumored to be extending a hand of offer to LG and Sony for some help.
Samsung’s reason for reaching out to the two tech companies is however not far-fetched as it would not willingly want to suffer the same fate as in the Galaxy Note 7 which was totally recalled and led in loss running to billions.
