- Android Teases New Exynos processor ahead of Galaxy S8 launch
Ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S8 release which was earlier expected to make a debut at the Mobile World Congress 2017, Samsung has teased a new flagship processor, the Exynos 9.
The South Korean company which has been rumored to be hoarding the latest Snapdragon 835 chipset from Qualcomm took to its Twitter page to make the official announcement welcoming the latest processor which may most likely be featured in a variant of the Galaxy S8 device.
Samsung which has enjoyed a great array of reviews with its Exynos processor touted the new SoC for better productivity and increased performance.
Samsung on its social media page wrote “Be ready for #TheNextExynos pic.twitter.com/rpod9jVOd7 — Samsung Exynos (@SamsungExynos) February 17, 2017
The latest Exynos processor is however expected to fall in line with earlier deeds of the smartphone as it will be much more likely featured in the international version of its next flagship device, the Galaxy S8 which has been said to be coming into the market around April at Samsung’s event projected to hold in New York.
Ahead of the Galaxy S8 release, Samsung has been reported to be making moves to unveil some of what should be expected on the coming device at the Mobile World Congress.
The latest Exynos 9 processor is however projected to build on the previous generation chipset to give a better RAM management output as compared to the Qualcomm chipset. The chipset has also been touted to be almost the best option for the Galaxy S8 which is expected to come into the market with an array of functions including the much talked about Samsung Artificial Intelligence Assistant named Bixby.
According to reports, Bixby will be so strong that it will blow Apple’s Siri out of the water and have competition only with Alexa which stays solid on top of AI Assistants chart.
The Samsung’s Bixby is reported to be coming with Virtual Reality and Optical Character Recognition feature which allows it double as a scanner in converting hardcopy texts into digital texts. Also, the Assistant has been rumored to be capable of linking users to online stores where products can be found when it is pointed to it.
Other features rumored to come with the Galaxy S8 include the possible 8GB of RAM although tech analysts have debated that the device might come into the market packing not more than 4GB of RAM. Speculations, however, exist that Samsung may be planning on making a more premium version of the device under the Galaxy S8 Plus name which might feature the whopping RAM.
No word on the possible features of the Galaxy S8 has been let lose by the South Korean tech company although indications exist that the much-expected smartphone will pack the latest Snapdragon 835 chipset.
