- Sony Xperia XZ, others leak ahead of MWC 2017
Following the Sony Xperia XZ successor’s leak online some weeks to the Mobile World Congress, there have been diverse reactions to the possibility of the smartphone company’s possible unveiling of the device at the event scheduled to hold in Barcelona. However, the smartphone company came up with another brilliant concept in the form of the Sony Xperia X 2017.
The smartphone which is expected to make an official entry into the tech world at the Mobile World Congress 2017 will be coming into the market with not one but as much as three other devices including the premium grade Xperia XZ.
Latest leaks ahead of the release noted that the alleged successor to the Sony Xperia XZ would also be coming to town at the MWC 2017. The premium device, Xperia XZ leaked online, and from the look of things, it will be one of the major headlines to unveil at the MWC by the tech company who has been looking to steal the show from the much expected LG G6 device.
Recall that the older version of the Xperia XZ was unveiled in 2016 at the IFA event in October and entered the market at a pricing of $699 packing on it some impressive specs including the 2016 chipset flagship, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. On the device comes 3GB of RAM. With these specs in mind, the Xperia XZ premium is expected to bring better specs to table although there might be no significant changes in the design department.
The leaked images of the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, however, suggests that the device will come into the market with a mirror-like back design which is capable of reflecting images cast on it. Added to this comes the ability for the premium version to record videos at 960 frames per second and integration which allows the camera to support capture in low-light conditions. The camera has also been fitted with anti-distortion properties and is expected to ship with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset which was unveiled in January. The possible screen on the premium Xperia XZ is expected to be the 4K HDR screen.
In another separate leak which surfaced online, the Sony looks to be planning to release a series of the Sony Xperia X 2017 phones into the market at the MWC 2017 event as the leak showed a variety of four Xperia smartphones all in the Xperia XZ line.
Recall that the tech company at last year’s Mobile World Congress made the daring move of launching three phones in the Xperia series, the Xperia XA, Xperia X and the Xperia X Performance.
However, from the recently leaked images, it appears Sony might just be planning a repeat of its 2016 move, and since the Sony Xperia XZ Premium is known, the other devices may be successors to the Xperia X Performance, Xperia X 2017 and the Xperia XA 2017.
