Did you know that you can do these with your new iOS7?
This new system update has people confused and asking what it is about… some can see the design difference and other updates. There is also some things though about the new iOS that a lot of people do not know about and here they are.
Create Custom Vibrations
We’re aware of custom ringtones in our cell phones, so Apple has introduced custom vibration in the latest iOS. To customize your own vibration pattern, go to Settings, open Sounds, open Vibrations and Create New Vibration. Using a variety of taps and holds you can create a vibration pattern of your liking.
Correct Siri’s Pronunciation/ Change her Voice
Siri is known for her mispronunciation of certain words and especially names, but now you can teach her by saying “That’s not how you pronounce (word).” After coaching her, Siri will learn the proper pronunciation and use it in the future. Siri can also cross gender now, you can change her voice to either male or female opening Siri; Voice Gender in General Settings.
Twitter’s Summary
With the iOS 7, Safari now has a feature that brings up all the tweets in your feed that contain links. You just need to tap the “@” sign inside of the bookmarks menu and see the condensed summary of tweets. Now you’ll might prefer going to Safari instead of accessing the Twitter app.
Head Movement Control
Like the technology in Samsung Galaxy phone, you can control iOS 7 with the movement of your head. You can turn this on by going to Accessibility, then Switch Control. You can also customize each movement’s action under switches.
Delete Text Messages
Old iPhone users might e surprised to see that the old Edit button no longer exists in the text messaging screen. Like Samsung, to delete text messages, you need to hold your finger on a message and select the “More…” option that will appear. Select individual text messages by tapping the circles that appear on the left and then delete those by tapping the Trash Can option.
Download Free Apps
Buying a new Apple device with iOS 7 gives you the privilege to download certain popular apps for free. These include, Pages (word processing), Numbers (spreadsheets), Keynote (presentations), iPhoto (photo editing), and iMovie (video editing). Each of these apps normally cost $5 or more.
Improve Readability
Some people are complaining of having trouble reading texts in iOS 7, but you easily work on that. Go to Settings, then General, open Accessibility and activate the “Bold Text” option. You can also try the “Larger Dynamic Type” option. After a quick restart, reading texts will be a bit easier for you.
Remove Recent Contacts
If you want to remove someone from you recent contacts list, simply tap the small “I” that appears next to their name. A screen will open up where you can add or remove a person from the list.
Close Background Apps
Pressing the home button twice or swiping across the screen with four fingers to bring up the app-switching screen. Instead of the old red X, you now remove running background apps from the list by swiping ip on the screen cap. You can also close multiple apps at once by swiping them at the same time.
